SCRJI executive director Aparna Polavarapu will be the opening keynote speaker this week at the Virginia Victim Assistance Network’s 39th Annual Crime Victims’ Issues Conference being held November 17-19, 2021 in Virginia Beach. She will be speaking on the topic of restorative justice as an alternative to punishment, discussing both how the restorative process seeks accountability for harm and serves the needs of those involved.
